Undergraduate Research Grants are not limited to funding only science-based projects. Grants also are available for creative and community-based projects.

Honors student Lauren Henrickson used her funding to establish the nonprofit organization Free Detroit. The focus of her work is The Free Store (pictured), which provides necessities free-of-charge to those in need.
