ForagerOne
ForagerOne is Wayne State University's new web platform, designed to connect students and faculty across campus for integrative learning opportunities and contribute to an equitable and inclusive community around research and scholarship.
Designed for connection across all disciplines, ForagerOne enables faculty to strengthen their research teams, collaborate with colleagues, streamlines and standardizes how students look for university-affiliated research opportunities and simplifies messaging to connect students and mentors outside of the classroom.
Getting Started for Faculty:
1. Claim your profile. Faculty information is autopopulated from departmental faculty profiles. The only information a faculty member can edit directly in ForagerOne are their current projects and the awards section. All other edits must be made in the CMS and then will be reflected in ForagerOne. For more information on updating your CMS faculty profile, please visit this website (scroll halfway down for ForagerOne specific information).
2. Post a research project. Faculty can post current research projects and customize if they are paid, volunteer, or academic credit opportunities. Faculty can also indicate if they are seeking undergraduates, graduate students, or medical residents for research opportunities.
3. Identify potential mentees. Indicate to students if you’re currently recruiting. Search student profiles by keyword, level (undergraduate, graduate, postdoc, or medical resident), major and message students within the platform.
